For anyone interested in the traditional Phuket life, this little street off Tanon Talang is worth a visit. Eletricity wires and posts have already been removed from view, and now the same work is being started out on Tanon Talang. It really makes everything look a lot better without all that 'spaghetti'. Hi! My name is Dawn, I run a restaurant on Bon Island in Phuket, Thailand. It's a wonderful little island, so whan I have the time I like to catch it's beauty with my Nokia N82. The weather here can be quite dramatic, anything from a beautiful sunny day to a violent tropical storm. The island is very rocky and rises high above sea-level, which was a major factor in protecting us from the 2004 Tsunami disaster.

The photo you see here was taken on the beach at Bon Island just three days after Tsunami hit Phuket, the beach was beautifully clean and the sea the clearest we had ever seen, sadly the coral reef got very badly damaged and now, four years later we are starting to see it's recovery along with the return of many little fish. I feel very safe here on the Island and wouldn't choose to be anywhere else!
